All you need to know about tourism conferences in Aswan

CAIRO – 18 February 2019: Many conference organizers are keen to hold their annual courses in Aswan hotels, especially after the success of the Arab and African Youth Forum.

Head of a tourism company, Salah Zafer, told Egypt Today that tourism conferences are the finest type of tourism, adding that participants in these events are people of a high level of culture.

“Despite the importance of tourism conferences, they mostly take place in winter; in December, January and February. I wish these conferences are held throughout the year to ensure the regular flow of tourists,” said Mohamed al-Ansari, chairman of a tourism company.

A Nubian citizen, Ahmed Noby, also said that tourism conferences are a form of cultural tourism, and it is noticeable that the average rate is increasing every year.

In November 2018, at the closing ceremony of the World Youth Forum, President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi named Aswan the capital of African Youths in 2019.

The president made an open invitation to all African leaders to attend the Aswan Forum for Peace and Sustainable Development.

Luxor and Aswan are probably the two most popular and important touristic destinations in Egypt. However, to arrive in Luxor, tourists had to first land in Cairo International Airport and then take another internal flight to Luxor. Egypt needed a faster, direct route to Luxor so that tourists are encouraged to come.

These direct routes will solve the problems tourists face when planning their visits which will, in turn, improve tourism in Egypt.
