CAIRO - 27 October 2018: Chinese Vice-President Wang Qishan on Saturday visited the Great Pyramids of Giza where he was received by Antiquities Minister Khaled al-Anani and Minister of Tourism Rania el-Mashat.

The Chinese official toured the area during which he was posted on how the Sphinx was carved and the changes the statue underwent throughout the history, according to a statement released by the Antiquities Ministry on Saturday.

Escorted by the antiquities minister, Wang and his accompanying delegation, also toured the Giza Pyramids area development project accompanied by Chinese Ambassador in Cairo Song Aiguo.
