CAIRO – 6 June 2018: Berlin is one of the most beautiful European cities I have ever visited as a cabin crew. The city is a mixture of history, culture, art and beautiful scenery. People who love nightlife are also going to enjoy the vibrant night life in Berlin.

What makes the city beautiful is that it has something for everyone. History enthusiasts are going to feel in heaven in Berlin because the city is filled with numerous museums and monuments.

After Germany’s defeat in the Second World War, the Germans were strong willed and re-built their nation; in no time, Germany became one of the biggest industrial countries in the whole world, taking great pride in manufacturing two of the best cars in the history of automotive; Mercedes Benz and Porsche.

If you want to see amazing museums that illustrate the different historical stages of the country and its people, visit Berlin.

Among the numerous Museums located in Berlin my favorite three are:

Käthe Kollwitz (Museum)

Kollwitz is one of the greatest female German artists that illustrated the agony, pain, and suffering of the Germans during specific eras.

The statues and artistic works of the museum seem so real that even decades after Kollwitz' death, her artistic works still stand.

Neues Museum

This is the best museum I visited in Berlin. It is eye catching, posh and classic, with stunning internal designs. The museum contains a lot of historical pieces and artifacts from different civilizations.

As an Egyptian, I felt proud and happy to watch the visitors' admiration of the Egyptian monuments in the museum. The museum dedicated a special corner to ancient Egypt's artifacts, focusing on Queen Nefertari's amazing collection.

Museum Island

The wonderful combination of the museum's artistic work along with the natural beauty of the greenery and the Spree River that surrounds it makes the museum a must see.

I should not forget to mention the beauty of the parks located in different spots of Berlin.
Thiel Park and Schiller Park are two must-visit parks; the relaxing scenery and fresh air they offer provide visitors with an incomparable sense of freedom.

Moreover, the amazing German city has a specialized shopping district located west of Berlin for shopping enthusiasts, in an area named bezirk Charlottenburg, where Kurfurstendamm Street is located.

Kurfurstendamm is packed with both shopping malls and historical monuments.
My favorite department stores in the shopping district are kaDeWe and Cloppenburg; they offer great collections of clothes and souvenirs with affordable prices.

We have some good news for foodies, too! You can find a wide variety of cuisines in Berlin; Turkish, Arab, Indian, Lebanese, and Chinese, among others.

My favorite place to eat was a small bistro in “Hackershe” market area, where numerous cafes and restaurants offering a selection of traditional and ethnic foods for reasonable prices can be found.

Just wondering around the city you will surely bump into small cafes and bistros all the time. This is what makes Berlin amazing, you can just wander around and still find a place to chill!

Berlin also has numerous rivers flowing across the city, each offering a different set of activities for tourists and locals to enjoy alike.

Some of the famous rivers in Berlin are the Spree River, as well as Havel and Dahme rivers.
