CAIRO – 20 January 2018: The tallest man on earth Soltan Kosen and the smallest woman on earth Jyoti Amge will visit Egypt on January 26 to 29, Guinness World Records announced on Saturday, and a tour of major tourist attractions in Cairo will be held for them.

The purpose of the visit is to campaign for tourism in Egypt in addition to holding a press conference for both guests to share their inspirational stories, and how they have dealt with challenges in their lives.

Indian actress Amge, 24, was declared the world’s smallest living woman at 64 centimeters in 2008. Kosen, 35, is a Turkish farmer who received the Guinness World Record for tallest living male at 251 centimeters in 2014.

The Ministry of Tourism and the Tourism Promotion Authority are currently organizing events to attract Egyptians who wish to break records or apply for a Guinness World Records titles as an attempt to boost tourism in Egypt which is mentioned in 86 Guinness World Records.

Guinness adjudicator Omar Talal told press that the Middle East is pioneering in business growth including entertainment and innovative enterprises. He added that the applications submitted to Guinness from the region in the last three years jumped by 68 percent.
