Egypt to open Al Masah Hotel in New Administrative Capital

CAIRO – 6 October 2017: Al Masah Hotel will host Friday the first concert in the New Administrative Capital, marking the 44th anniversary of the 6th of October War Victory.

A number of famous Arab and Egyptian singers will perform in the concert, mainly Tamer Hosny, Nancy Agram and Hussein Al Jassmi. The participating artists announced they will donate their contract fee for the Tahya Misr (Long Live Egypt) Fund.

Al Masah Hotel, owned by the armed forces, was constructed by Orascom Construction in collaboration with the Armed Forces Engineering Authority. It was built on an area of 10 feddans and includes water and power facilities.

The total cost of the hotel ranges between 700-900 million EGP ($40-50 million).
The New Administrative Capital is a mega project that is expected to be approximately 168,000 feddans in area and will comprise several districts, such as a conference area, show exhibitions area, governmental neighborhood, residential district, sports city, central park and smart city.

The project aims to create a new capital city to house governmental ministries, foreign embassies and various governmental departments.
