CAIRO - 21 July 2017: Five superstars visited the Pyramids and the Giza plateau last Thursday. The visitors are the world’s top football stars: Roberto Carlos, André Felipe, Míchel Salgado, Robert Pires and the American singer Gloria Gaynor, famous for the famous song: I will survive.

The visitors have spent about half an hour visiting the Pyramids’ area, the sphinx and the panorama amid intense security.

The visit aims at promoting the Egyptian tourism, with André Felipe and Roberto Carlos participating in some charity events, launching a new humanitarian institution, and performing a football show.

Robert Pires, the French football star and Real Madrid star Michel Salgado, and international singer Gloria Gaynor, arrived prior to the rest of the visitors for the launching of a new radio station.

The World champion Robert Pires and Michel Salgado were keen to visit the Great Pyramid of Khufu from inside and climb into the burial chamber, while Roberto Carlos waited in the car for their return.
