CAIRO – 2 July 2017: Pep Guardiola’s legacy with Barcelona depended on this moment more than anything, it was an important goal that made Guardiola’s first year with Barcelona the best ever in the club history.

Barcelona travelled to London to play against Chelsea in the second leg match of 2009 Champions League semifinal after the first leg in Barcelona ended 0-0.

Chelsea started the match with complete attack to get advantage of playing in front of their fans and score the first goal in the match, Chelsea’s midfielder Michael Essien shot gave Chelsea the lead.

The second half Barcelona tried to score a goal to equalize the score and put the pressure on Chelsea but they failed to do it, the referee, Tom Henning , had one of the worst referee performances in the competition history after denying more than 3 penalties for Chelsea .

It was just two minutes and Chelsea will play in the final but the drama played a big role, Dani Alves had the ball on the right side, he played a cross towards Samuel Eto’o who controlled it and pass it to Messi, Messi controlled the ball make an assist to Andres Iniesta ,Iniesta shot the goal on Petr Cech scoring the equalizer for Barcelona, Barcelona qualified to the final and Chelsea eliminated out of the Champions League.
Iniesta late goal took Barcelona to the Champions League final when they won over Manchester United and won the title.

Barcelona won 6 titles from possible 6 and much credit of this achievement goes to a late goal in London.
