CAIRO – 1 July 2017: Al Ahly failed to score any goals against Zanaco on Saturday to end the match with a draw, which puts Al Ahly in danger of not qualifying to the next round.

Al Ahly created many chances in the first half trying to score the first goal and have the upper hand in the game, but bad luck stood against Al Ahly’s attempts.

Al Ahly lost winger Ahmed Hamoudi to injury in the 16th minute, and Walid Soliman took his place in the attacking line.

In the second half Al Ahly attacked Zanaco through Momen Zakaria, Walid Soliman from the flanks, they made many chances to Al Ahly striker Junior Ajayi who failed to brat Zanaco’s goalkeeper.

Al Ahly hopes to win the last game in the group against Cotton Sport and Al Wydad, their group opponent, to lose points in their remaining games to be able to qualify without complex point calculations.
