CAIRO – 30 June 2017: Xavi Hernandez, former Barcelona captain, talked about the possible transfer of his former teammate Dani Alves to Man City, Xavi thinks that Alves will be a great signing for Man City.

“He is a good friend, I know how hard he works, I know how well he looks after himself, he's in great condition and can play at the top level for some more years yet,” Xavi told manchestereveningnews.com

When asked about Alves’s age and how this affects his performance, Xavi replied “Age is not everything, for me, he's still the best right-back in the world, Barcelona missed him this season - and he's just had an incredible season with Juventus.”

Xavi praised his former teammate career with football, he said “You're not just getting a great player - you're also getting great experience, He's won many league titles across Europe, Champions League titles, “He's a big character and he's very important in the locker room.”

Rumors linked Daniel Alves to join Manchester City this summer and work again with his Coach in Barcelona, Pep Guardiola.
