CAIRO – 28 June 2017: The two remaining Egyptian national team competitors, Maysoon Ehab and Mohamed Ayman, both lost their respective matches in Round 16 of the 2017 World Taekwondo Championships on June 27.

The Cambodian candidate was able to win against Ehab with a score of 9/7, while Ayman lost to Russia with a 12/7 score.

Seif Eissa, another Egyptian taekwondo national team athlete, was knocked out of the tournament earlier this week on June 25 after losing in the quarter finals.

These three losses mean that no one from the Egyptian National Team will participate in the semi-finals as the last remaining Egyptian competitors have now been knocked out of the championship.

The 2017 World Taekwondo Championships is held in Muju, South Korea from June 24-30.
