CAIRO – 28 June 2017: Al-Ahly coach Hossam el-Badry announced Tuesday via the official club website the names of the 22 players who will be traveling to Zambia for their upcoming Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League match with Zanaco. The match will take place on July 1 at 3 p.m., Cairo local time.

Badry chose the following players:

Goalkeeper: Sherif Ekramy, Ahmed Adel Abdel-Moneim and Mohamed El-Shennawy.

Defenders: Ahmed Fathy, Ahmed Hegazy, Ramy, Rabea, Saad Samir, Mohamed Naguib, Ali Maaloul, Sabry Rahil and Mohamed Hany.

Midfielders: Hossam Ghaly, Hossam Ashour, Karim Nedved, Momen Zakria, Walid Soliman, Saleh Gomaa, Ahmed Hamoudi, Amr El-Sulaya and Abdallah El-Said.

Strikers: Amr Gamal and Junior Ajayi.

Al-Ahly will travel to Zambia looking for victory in order to keep their chances of qualifying to the next round of the championship. Al-Ahly is currently second in the group with seven points under Zanaco, who are first with ten points. In third place is Moroccan team Wydad with six points and Cameroonian Club Coton Sport fourth with no points.
