CAIRO – 20 June 2017: Al-Ahly team captain Hossam Ashour has fully recovered and attended Saturday’s training session, team doctor Khaled Mahmoud said Saturday, according to Super Kora. Ashour completed Saurday’s training without any reports of suffering, Mahmoud said.

Mahmoud said Ashour is ready as for the team’s match again Wydad Athletic Club late Tuesday night.

Ashour suffered a bruise to the ribs in one of the team’s training sessions last week before Smouha SC match in the Egyptian Premier League, which ended in a 4-2 victory for Al-Ahly. Ashour did not play in the match.

Al-Ahly was scheduled for a second training session in Morocco Sunday night as coach Hossam Al-Badri sought to put the last touches on the squad and train the players on particular tactics in preparation for the Wydad game.

Badri is expected to settle on the squad that will start the game after his follow-up to the opposing team, according to Super Kora.
