CAIRO – 18 June 2017: Spanish publication Marca confirms reports linking Real Madrid’s Christiano Ronaldo with a move away from the team after his alleged involvement in a tax fraud case.

“I am leaving Real Madrid… I have made a decision, there is no turning back," remarked the Portuguese star according to Marca.

The 32-year-old striker faced accusations of committing tax fraud worth of £13 million ($14.5 million), which he has firmly repudiated.

The misfortunes of some people, as the adage goes, are advantages to others. This could be true with various English media outlets reporting that the Premier League giant Manchester United is closely watching the situation with hopes to sign the international player in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Back in 2013, La Liga’s runner-ups FC Barcelona’s striker Lionel Messi had the same fate, with him getting accused of tax fraud worth of £3m.
