CAIRO –14 June 2017: Last Sunday’s action, June 11, in the qualifying rounds for the 2019 African Cup of Nations saw the conclusion of the first series. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will be hosting the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Senegal swept Guinea Equatorial with three goals – two scored by Moussa Sow and the third by Idrissa Gana. The victory puts Senegal in the lead of group A followed by Madagascar, who defeated Sudan 3-1.



Two matches were played Sunday in group D. Benin beat Gambia 1-0 while Algeria defeated Togo, also 1-0. Benin and Algeria are currently tied for first place in their group with 3 points each.



Ghana swept Ethiopia with five goals, placing them atop group F, followed by Sierra Leone after their 2-1 victory over Kenya.



Tunisia leads group J after defeating Egypt 1-0, placing Egypt firmly in last place of the group after the 1-1 draw between Niger and Swaziland.
