Cairo 12 June 2017: The Tunisian national team managed to seal a precious 1-0 victory against the Egyptian National Team in the qualfiers of the African Cup of Nations on June 12th at Rades, Tunisia.

The first half was dominated completely by the Tunisia team while Egypt sat in defence aiming for one point against Tunisia.

At the beginning of the second half in the 48th minute Tunisia managed to score a goal. The Tunisian national team captain Yassin El Meskany made an assist his fellow national Team member Taha El Khennisi in order to score the first goal for Tunisia. After the goal, Egypt tried to equalize but was faced by a strong opponent who took on control of the match.


With result, Tunisia is first with 3 points, Niger and Swaziland are second and third after having a draw against each other, and Egypt comes last with zero points. Egypt still has a long run with 5 matches remaining, the Pharoahs have to improve their results in order to qualify for the 2019 African Cup of Nations held in Cameroon.
