CAIRO, 16 July 2019: The coach of the Moroccan team, Mostafa Hajji, said that the coaching staff, headed by Herve Renard, of the Atlas Lions is responsible for the failure of the 2019 African Cup of Nations.

Morocco entered the tournament and they were one of the strongest candidates to win the title, but they left the competition from the 16th round against Benin.

“We offered, as a coaching staff, everything to Herve Renard but he had the final decision,” Hajji said to Moroccan Radio.

Morocco lead their group after winning all the three matches against Ivory Coast, South Africa and Tanzania.

The 2019 AFCON will come to an end on Friday when Algeria faces Senegal in the Final match at Cairo stadium.

It’s worth to mention that Tunisia will meet Nigeria on Wednesday in the match that will decide the 3rd place.
