Blailey thanks Egyptian fans for supporting Algeria

CAIRO, 15July 2019:Algerian player Youssef Blailey thanked Egyptian fans who supported his team at the 2019 African Cup of Nations where they reached the final after defeating Nigeria 2-1 on Sunday at Cairo Stadium.



"The Algeria people deserve everything, Thanks God. It was a tough game, but we will give the championship to our people,” Blailey said after the match.

The Desert Warriors, led by Manchester City’s star, Riyad Mahrez, showed a wonderful performance in front of Algerian and Egyptian fans who packed the stadium to witness Algeria’s victory over Nigeria.

Algeria opened the score minutes before half time from an own goal but Nigeria equalized the score 15 minutes before the final whistle from the penalty spot.

“Thanks to the Egyptians who supported us, and God bless our martyrs," said Tunisia Esperance Sportive player.

During the last minute of the game, Mahrez granted his team a victory when he scored an amazing free kick that sent Algeria to their first final since 1990.

Algeria will face Senegal on Friday night at Cairo stadium at 09:00 p.m.
