CAIRO, 12 June 2019: Egyptian national team coach, Javier Aguirre, is expected to give the chance for Nabil Dunga & Ahmed Ali when they face Tanzania on Thursday evening at Borg el Arab Stadium.
But at the defense level, Aguirre relies on most of his core lineup with Ahmad Hegazy, Ahmed Al-Mohammadi and Omar Jaber.



The expected formation is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Ahmed Al Shennawi

Defense: Ahmad Al-Mohammadi - Mahmoud Alaa - Ahmed Hegazy - Omar Jaber

Center: Tarek Hamed - Nabil "Dunga" - Abdullah Alsaeed - Amr Wardah - Walid Suleiman

Attack: Ahmed Ali

The Egyptian national team started their preparation camp for the tournament at Borg El Arab stadium on 6 June.

On Tuesday, Egypt national team manager, Javier Aguirre, announced the final squad which included the national team stars, Mohamed Salah, Mohamed Elneny and Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet.

Aguirre’s chosen squad consists of:

Goalkeepers: Ahmed El Shenawy, Mohamed El Shenawy, Mahmoud Genesh

Defenders: Ahmed Elmohamady, Ahmed Hegazi, Omar Gaber, Ali Gazal, Ayman Ahsraf, Mahmoud Hamdy, Baher Elmohamady, Ahmed Ayman Mansour, Mahmoud Alaa,

Midfielders: Walid Soliman, Abdallah El-Said, Mohamed Elneny, Tarek Hamed, Mahmoud Trezeguet, Amr Warda, Nabil Emad

Forwards: Ahmed Ali, Mohamed Salah, Marwan Mohsen, Ahmed Hassan Kouka

The AFCON starts on June 21 and ends on July 19. The tournament takes place with the participation of 24 teams in six groups for the first time in the history of the African competition.

Egypt plays in Group A alongside the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
