CAIRO – 29 May 2019: Egypt International winger, Mahmoud Hassan known as Trezeguet, is close to sign for French giants, Lyon, from Turkish side, Kasımpaşa.

Trezeguet has been linked with a move to top leagues in Europe after his great performance with Kasımpaşa having scored 71 goals, provided 18 assists since he joined the club.

The Egyptian winger joined Kasımpaşa in summer 2017 on loan from the Belgian club, Anderlecht, and since then he established himself as a key player at the club squad that made Kasımpaşa buy his contract.

After two years inside the Turkish club, the club honored the winger by handing him the captaincy during their 2-3 loss to Besiktas at the last game at the domestic league.

The club also promised the Egyptian winger to let him go during the summer.

Lyon’s biggest names, Memphis Depay, Bertrand Traoré and Maxwel Cornet, are expected to leave the club this summer and the club decided to replace them by Trezeguet and Watford’s winger, Dodi Lukebakio.

Trezeguet will be among the national team squad participating in 2019 African Cup of Nations in the summer.
