Nassef Sawiras celebrates Aston Villa’s Victory, wishes Egypt success in Africa Cup

CAIRO - 28 May 2019: Egyptian businessman Nassef Sawiras, owner of the English football club Aston Villa, expressed his happiness after the club’s today victory, “The qualification of Aston Villa to the premier league after today’s victory is a major success.” Stressing that he worked on the formation of a professional team, the structure of the new club, and the possession of professional players. 

He added that he will work during the coming period to continue to prepare Aston Villa to deliver good performance during the next Premier League, stressing that this victory is a good opportunity to have a platform for the Egyptian players in the English league. 

He also added that the Egyptian international player, Ahmed Mohamedi, one of Aston Villa’s players, is an honor to Egypt. Sawiras expressed his hopes that Egypt will win the African Cup of Nations 2019, that Egypt will host from 21 June to 19 July 2019. 

"I thank all the friends in Egypt for their support that led to this success," said Nassef Sawiras. "We will continue to improve Aston Villa, even more, to achieve much more victories in the coming tournaments we will join.” 

Aston Villa scored a 2-1 win at Derby County on Monday in the final of the “Playoff” championship.
