CAIRO - 24 May 2019: Morocco will play two friendly matches in preparation for the 2019 African Nations Cup in Egypt.

The Atlas Lions will meet Burundi on Wednesday, June 12nd, in Morocco. Then they will face Zambia on Sunday, June 16th.

The Algerian team will start their preparations for the tournament on June 2 at Moroccan city, Sala.

Morocco's team is scheduled to fly to Cairo by a private jet on Tuesday, June 18th. Morocco are in Group D with Côte d'Ivoire, South Africa and Namibia.

The AFCON starts on June 21 and ends on July 19. The tournament takes place with the participation of 24 teams in six groups for the first time in the history of the African competition.

The 25-years-old Hakim Ziyech is a Moroccan professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Ajax in the Eredivisie and for the Morocco national team. He is known for his technique and free kick ability.

Ziyech was one of the best players in Netherlands as he played with Netherlands youth team; but, in September 2015, he surprised Netherlands team as he chose to play with his mother country, Morocco.
He was chosen as Footballer of the Year 2018 with Ajax Amsterdam & in Netherlands.
