CAIRO - 13 May 2019: Liverpool Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, sent a message to the team fans after they failed to achieve the Premier League title.

Liverpool finished the league with 97 points, one point behind the winners, Manchester City, who defeated Brighton and Hove Albion 4-1 at the final day of the season.

"It feels bittersweet now but the season isn’t over. I want to say thank you to my teammates, coaches, and to the fans. And fans, please bring Anfield to Madrid." Salah tweeted on Monday.

Liverpool reached UEFA Champions League Final for the second straight year after a sensational comeback over Barcelona during the semi-finals.

The English team lost 3-0 in Barcelona but bounced back at home with a 4-0 victory despite the absence of their best strikers, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino for injury.

Salah won the Premier League Golden Boot for the second year in a row as he scored 22 goals in the league, sharing the award with his teammate, Sadio Mane and Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
