CAIRO - 27 April 2019: Zamalek president Mourtada Mansour, fined two players, staff members and club workers following the events of the Pyramids match.

Zamalek have been defeated 0-1 against Pyramids in the 26th round of the Egyptian League thanks to Pyramids defender and former Zamalek’s player, Aly Gabr.

The White goalkeeper, Mahmoud Gennesh, and the left-back, Abdallah Gomaa, attacked one of the photographers after Pyramids’ clash for provoking them. Al Masry Al Youm’s photographer has been attacked also by staff members and club workers.

“Both the goalkeeper and the defender received an EGP 150,000 fine for attacking the photographer,” Mansour said.

“The photographer made a lot of mistakes, but Zamalek is a club of principles and values, and has to punish whoever makes a mistake,” he concluded.

The White Knights dropped back to the third position with 60 points after Al Ahly, second placed with 61 points, and Pyramids FC, the leader with 63 points with two more games played.
