CAIRO - 21 April 2019: Zamalek defeated Ismaili on Thursday night 2-0 in a postponed game from the 10th round of the Egyptian League.

Zamalek's two goals came through Omar alSaeed at the 36th minute and Youssef Ibrahim 'Obama' doubled the score at the 48th minute.

The last victory for Zamalekover Al Daraweesh in the league was on July 6, 2015, when the white knights won 3-0 through BassemMorsi, Maarouf Youssef and Ahmed Tawfiq.

Zamalek then played six matches in the league against Ismaili and did not win at any time. Ismaili won four times and the duo drew twice.

Zamalek returned to the top of the league with 60 points, followed by Pyramids FC with 60, then Al Ahly at the third place with 58 points.

Pyramids FC is set to face Zamalek in another crucial encounter on Tuesday while Al Ahly will face Al Masry on Thursday.
