CAIRO – 25 March 2019: England's former international, Phil Neville, believes that Liverpool Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, is having an amazing season despite the criticisms he receives for his goal drought.

"Mo Salah, he’s now had two unbelievable seasons. I said at the start of the season I think he would find it difficult to replicate what he did last year and that’s proven to be the case," Neville said on Monday.

Since he joined Liverpool in summer 2017, Salah has been sensational and he won the Golden Boot Award after scoring 32 goals at the Premier League.

This season, Salah has been amazing for his club but he failed to score any goals since his goal against Bournemouth on February 9 when Liverpool won at home 3-0.

Neville added, "He’s played centre forward at times a lot this season, particularly away from home; he’s developing all the time as a player. His finishing is absolutely world class and Liverpool are lucky to have him.”

Liverpool returned to the Premier League top and they are leading the table with 76 points, two points ahead of Manchester City who still have a postponed game.
