CAIRO – 25 March 2019: Al-Ahy volleyball women's team face Tunisian giants, CF de Carthage, at Women's African Volleyball Clubs Championship final on Monday night.

Al-Ahly fans are expected to pack Prince Abdullah al-Faisal hall to support their players who want to defend their title against the Tunisian team.

"It will not be an easy game and we expect a tough final against an experienced team. We know them well and we know how good they are but we have a massive motivation to defend our title." Al-Ahly player, Aya Al Shami, said ahead of the final.

The game is a repeat to the tournament's finals in 2016 and 2018 when Al-Ahly managed to win the title in both occasions.

Al Shami added "Our fans will be a massive support for us and they are behind all our achievements."

The first game in 2016 ended with a 3-2 victory for Al-Ahly in Tunisia while the final in 2018 was easier for Al-Ahly players who won the game 3-0 in Cairo.

Al Ahly has a record of 9 Women's African Volleyball Clubs Championship titles, including three titles at the last four years.
