CAIRO – 19 March 2019: Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced on Tuesday that Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria will host the game between Al-Ahly and Zamalek at the Egyptian League on 30 March.

EFA also announced that the game between Smouha and Wadi Degla, which was scheduled to be played in Borg El Arab, will be played in Haras El Hedoud Stadium.

Al-Ahly and Zamalek revealed that they want to play the game in Cairo because of the bad condition of Borg El Arab Stadium but EFA decided to play the game in Alexandria.

“The stadium will not host any game until the derby to be ready to host the game” The head of competitions committee at the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) Amer Hussein told Filgoal on Tuesday.

Zamalek are leading the Egyptian League table with 52 points from 21 games and they are 2 points ahead of the defending champions, Al-Ahly who played 22 games.
