CAIRO – 4 March 2019: Liverpool Captain, Jordan Henderson, revealed on Monday that his team deserved to achieve the three points against Everton on Sunday at the Merseyside derby.

“We’re disappointed in the end because we want to win the game, and we probably should have, to be honest, with the chances we created,” Henderson told Liverpool official website.

Liverpool lost another two points against Everton and took a step back at their Premier League title race with the defending champions, Manchester City.

Liverpool created many chances to score and their Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, failed to convert two clear chances to goals.

Henderson added “I think we’ve done enough to win the game with the chances we’ve created first and second half, but we’ll keep going. There’s still a long way to go.”

Liverpool’s draw granted Manchester City the top of the table with 9 games remaining.

Manchester City are leading the table with 71 points, 1 point ahead of Liverpool who hope to achieve their first Premier League title since 1990.
