CAIRO - 3 March 2019: Egyptian champions, Ali Farag and Nour el-Sherbiny, dominated the Men and Women Squash World Championship for the third year in a row.

Ali Farag succeeded to achieve his first title after defeating Tarek Moamen 3-1 in a 73-minute game.

Farag, Wadi Degla's product, won the tenth title for Egypt in the history of the Squash World Championship to come second after Pakistan, which won the title 14 times.

As for the women's competition, Egypt won the fourth title in history and the fourth consecutive victory by Egyptian squash legend, Nour el-Sherbini.

Sherbini won the title for the third time after beating her compatriot Noor al- Tayeb 3-1 (11-6, 11-5, 10-12, 15-13) in a 57-minute match.

Sherbini is the youngest player to win the world title three times; the 23-year-old is the fifth player to achieve the title for the third time.
