CAIRO – 5 June 2017: Al-Ahly Sporting Club managed to seal a precious 2-0 victory against El Wedad Casablanca in the African CAF Champions League match that took place at Borg Al Arab Stadium Sunday afternoon.

Al-Ahly scored the first goal in the 24th minute by Momen Zakeria; Junior Ajayi scored the second goal in the 8th minute.

This victory brings Al-Ahly to the lead of the group with seven points, followed by Zanaco from Zambia also with seven points, El Wedad in third with three points and El Cotn Sport from Cameroon coming fourth with zero points and three losses.

Al-Ahly has three matches remaining in the group stage. The team will fly to Morroco to play Wedad Casblanca on June 22 and then will go to Zambia to play Zanaco on July 1. The Egyptian team will then host Cotn Sport in the last game on July 7.
