CAIRO, 14 February 2019: Al-Ahly’s first team performed training session, after the African loss, in preparation for Al-Intag Al Harby match in the Egyptian league.

Al-Ahly lost 1-0 to Tanzania’s Simba on Tuesday afternoon at CAF Champions League's group stage.

Al-Ahly suffered their first loss at the group stage after two victories at home over Vita Club and Simba and a draw in Algeria against JS Saoura.

Al-Ahly manager, Martin Lasarte, held a meeting with the players in order to give them confidence as the doubts started to spread especially after stumbling twice far from home in the African competition.

Ahmed Fathi, Marwan Mohsen, Walid Azaro, Ahmed Hamoudi and Saad Samir are undergoing a medical examination on Thursday to check how well their conditions have improved.

Walid Soliman began a new phase of rehabilitation by running around the pitch under the supervision of Tarek Abdel Aziz, a rehabilitation specialist.

Al-Ahly is set to meet Al-Intag Al Harby in the Egyptian league. Al-Ahly is the third in the table standings after the leader, Zamalek, and the second placed, Pyramids FC.
