CAIRO, 14 February 2019: Zamalek’s coach, Christian Gross, admitted that the team didn’t take advantage of chances they had in NA Hussein Dey’s match.

Zamalek hosted Algerian club, NA Hussein Dey, on Wednesday night in the second round of CAF Confederation Cup group stage. The game ended by 1-1 draw.

“I always tell the players that we must score two goals at least to grab the victory,” Gross said in the press conference after the match.

“But we didn’t take advantage of the chances we had; their goalkeeper was brilliant,” Gross added.

Moroccan forward, Khaled Bo Tayeb, scored his first goal with Zamalek before NA Hussein Dey striked Zamalek at the last minute to give the White club only one point.

Zamalek SC was drawn in Group D of the CAF Confederations Cup alongside Kenyan Champions Gor Mahia, Algerian side NA Hussein and Angolan outfit Petro Atletico.

Gor Mahia roared to a 4-2 victory over the White Knights of Egypt in the opening match of Group D February 3.
