CAIRO, 7 February 2019: Egypt is ranked 57th in FIFA rankings for January month; 8th in the African countries’ list.

Belgium maintained its position on the top of the rankings while Senegal also continued its domination on the top of the African team.

Senegal is in the 24th place before Tunisia, Africa’s second, which is in the 26th place.

Morocco, Africa’s third place, is in the 43rd place, Nigeria 46, DR Congo 51, Ghana 52, Cameroon 56 and Egypt 57.

All the 10 countries on the top of the rankings maintained their positions; Belgium, France, Brazil, Croatia, England, Portugal, Uruguay, Switzerland, Spain and Denmark.

FIFA depends on the rankings to classify the countries in the World Cup qualification and Finals draw.


On the other hand, The Ministry of Youth and Sports announced a football match between Egypt and Africa team on February 20 during the Aswan, the capital of African youth.
