CARIO – 26 January 2019: Egypt's handball team will face Spain at 06:30 p.m. on Saturday in the 26th edition of Handball World Cup, which takes place in Denmark and Germany, to decide the seventh place.

The Egyptian team enters the game with a great confidence after the strong performance presented in the World Cup which let the Pharaohs to be placed among the Top Eight teams for the first time since 2001.

Egypt's Spanish coach, David Davis, put hopes on great players like Ahmed El Ahmar, Islam Hassan, Mohamed Mamdouh Hashem, Yahya Khaled and Yahya El Derea.

Egypt's journey in the first stage of the World Cup witnessed two losses against Sweden, Qatar; two victories against Argentine and Angola; and one draw against Hungary.

In the second stage, Egypt lost against Norway 32-29; against Denmark 30-26; before defeating Tunisia 30-23.

The seventh place is important as it qualifies to the qualification stage of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
