CAIRO – 22 January 2019: The CAF Confederation Cup round of 16 draw put Egyptian giants, Zamalek, in Group D alongside NA Hussein Dey of Algeria, Angola’s Petro de Luanda and Gor Mahia of Kenya.

Zamalek reached the group stage after they knocked out Morocco’s Ittihad Tanger at the play-off round.



Zamalek will open the group stage in Kenya against Gor Mahia before hosting NA Hussein Dey and Petro de Luanda respectively.

Zamalek will travel to Angola to face Petro de Luanda and they will host Gor Mahia
at the fifth game of the group.

Zamalek will end their group stage games against NA Hussein Dey in Algeria.

Moroccan teams, Hassania Agadir and RS Berkane and Raja, were drawn in Group A alongside AS Otôho of Congo Republic.

The draw also resulted in a Tunisian Clásico between Etoile du Sahel and CS Sfaxien in Group B which also includes Nigeria’s Enugu Rangers and Salitas of Burkina Faso.

Sudan’s Al-Hilal plays in Group C alongside Ghana’s Asante Kotoko and Zambian teams, ZESCO United and Nkana.
