Lasarte studies Vita Club before the African clash

CAIRO, 10 January 2019: Al Ahly’s manager, Martin Lasarte, will hold a video lecture for the players on Thursday to study the Congolese team, Vita Club.

Al Ahly is set to meet Vita Club on Saturday evening in the first round of the group stage in the African Champions League.

The Uruguayan coach seeks to grab the first victory towards the African title which is the dream of all the Reds’ fans.

Lasarte coached Al Ahly in two games; lost the first against Pyramids 1-2 but he won the second against Smouha 1-0. This match witnessed the injury of Al Ahly’s new comer, Mohamed Mahmoud, by a serious knee injury.

Al Ahly’s board of directors decided to start the recovery journey of their player from Germany. Mohamed Mahmoud joined Al Ahly two weeks ago coming from Wadi Degla for LE 15 million.

On the other hand, Al Ahly’s fans can attend the first match in CAF Champions League as the security gave the permission for only 10 thousands attendants.
