CAIRO – 2 January 2018: Egypt International defender, Ahmed Hegazi, is set to miss West Bromwich Albion's clash against Blackburn Rovers at the Championship for injury.

The player also missed his team’s 1-1 draw at home against Sheffield Wednesday.

On the other hand, West Brom manager, Darren Moore, received great news as the team’s striker Jay Rodriguez is available for the game against Blackburn after the club won their appeal against the red card he received against Sheffield on Wednesday.

West Bromwich are doing well at the championship this season and they comethird at the table with 46 points, five points behind the league leaders, Leeds United.

Hegazi participated at 24 games with his club this season and his only goal came at their 2-1 victory over Swansea City.

The Egyptian defender has been linked with a move out of the club to Premier League sides but his team rejected all the offers as the player and his teammates are focusing on winning promotion to the Premier League.

Since he joined the club in 2017, Hegazi has been a key player at the team and he represented the club at 38 Premier League games last season.
