CAIRO - 2 December 2018: Liverpool will host their arch rivals, Everton, in Anfield on Sunday afternoon at the Premier League.

The reds hope to reconcile their fans after their 2-1 loss at the UEFA Champions League against Paris Saint Germain on Wednesday night.

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, counts on the team’s attacking line of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah who failed to impress against PSG.

The blue side of the city, Everton, has had a good run at the league this season under their manager, Marco Silva, and they hope to put an end to their poor record at Anfield as their last victory over Liverpool there was in September 1999.

“It should be normal that it is very difficult for other teams to play you in your own stadium,” Klopp commented on Everton’s poor record at Anfield.

On the other hand, Silva believes that defeating Liverpool will have a great impact on the team, saying “Derbies are always special, special games and moments for the city, and a good result for us could boost our confidence to a high, high level.”

The game starts at 4:15 p.m. (CLT).
