CAIRO – 29 May 2017: Chairperson of Zamalek club, Mortada Mansour, issued a LE 500,000 fine on football player Mahmoud Abdel Moneim “Kahraba” as a result of his appearance in a TV program without the permission of his club.

Kahraba appeared in “Ramez under the ground” program presented by actor Ramez Galal. The program was recorded last April and Kahraba was accompanied by “Moamen Zakaria” who plays for Al-Ahli club.

Both Murtada Mansour and Kahraba are expected to meet and discuss the fine. Kahraba requested Murtada Mansour to retract the penalty because he was not playing for Zamalek at the time of the recording of the episode. Therefore he did not violate the club’s instructions.

The 23 year-old Zamalek striker Kahraba curently plays for the Saudi club Al-Ittihad on a loan from Zamalek. During the last African Cup of Nations in Gabon, Kahraba showcased his soccer abilities and skills. He netted a late winning goal in Egypt’s quarter final clash with Morocco to defeat the Atlas Lions for the first time in 31 years.
