CAIRO – 29 October 2018: Russian professional mixed martial artist, Khabib Nurmagomedov, showed his admiration to Liverpool’s Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, during his visit to the UAE.

“I never met him before but I follow him, he is a great player and we need more people like him to reflect our ethics and present us properly to the rest of the world,” Khabib told Al-Ittihad newspaper according to Kingfut.com.

Khabib gained a worldwide reputation as one of the best fighters in the world after he defeated Irish fighter, Conor McGregor, during a fight on October 6.

Khabib added, “He made a name of himself because he is disciplined. I feel that Allah is by his side. The new generations need those who are like Mohamed Salah to learn more about how you can be modest, no matter how famous and innovative you are.”

Salah has had a stunning performance since he joined Liverpool in July 2017 and led them to Champions League Final where they lost 3-1 to Real Madrid.

The Egyptian scored 44 goals last season at all competitions, including 32 goals at the League that granted him the Premier League Golden Boot award.

The Russian continued, “He’s an icon that we should take care of and help reach more success. I admire him and admire the ethics he is spreading every day in Europe.”
