Al-Ahly hosts Al-Wasl in the Arab Club Championship

Cairo – 28 October 2018: Al-Ahly faces the Emirati club, Al-Wasl, on Sunday at 08:00 p.m. in Arab Club Championship, or Zayed Cup, at Borg el-Arab in Alexanderia.

Al-Ahly’s manager, Patrice Carteron, revealed the 22-player list which will meet the Emirati club at the 16th round of the competition. It included:

Goal Keepers: Mohamed el-Shenawy, Sherif Ekramy, Aly Lotfy


Defenders: Ahmed Fathy, Ahmed Alaa, Ayman Ashraf, Salif Coulibaly, Saad Samir, Sabry Raheel and Mohamed Hany.


Midfielders: Hesham Mohamed, Hossam Ashour, Ahmed Hamoudy, Karim Nedved, Walid Soliman, Amr el-Soleya, Mido Gaber, Mohamed Sherif and Ahmed el-Sheikh


Forwards: Walid Azzarou, Salah Mohsen, Marwan Mohsen

Al-Ahly travelled to Alexanderia on Saturday to start their camp before the match.
Al-Ahly was knocked out of the competition last season at semi-finals losing to Jordan’s Al-Faisaly 2-1.
