CAIRO – 23 October 2018: Egyptian national team Mexican manager, Javier Aguirre, announced on Tuesday the 11 foreign based players who will support the national team against Tunisia at the 2019 African Cup of nations’ qualifiers.

Aguirre’s chosen players are Mohamed Salah, Mohamed Awad, Ahmed Hegazi, Mohamed el-Neny, Sam Morsy, Aly Ghazal, Ahmed el-Mohamady, Amr Warda, Amr Tarek, Hussein el-Shahat and Mahmoud Hassan known as Trezeguet.

Olympiacos striker, Ahmed Hassan known as Koka, who was among Aguirre’s list for the last international duty, was ruled out of the game after he picked an injury.

Egypt and Tunisia secured qualification for the tournament since the last round after Egypt achieved an away 2-0 victory over eSwatini, while Tunisia defeated Niger 2-1 in Niamey.

Tunisia leads the group with 12 points from four consecutive victories, three points ahead of Egypt that comes second, while Niger and eSwatini share the bottom with one point each.

Aguirre hopes to continue his amazing run with the national team as he achieved three victories in three official games since he was appointed national team manager following Egypt’s world Cup early exit.

The game is scheduled for Friday, November 16 at Borg El-Arab Stadium, Alexandria.
