CAIRO – 13 October 2018: Liverpool and Egypt national team winger, Mohamed Salah’s goal against eStwani on Friday made him Egypt’s leading top goals corer at the African Cup of nations’ qualifiers.

Salah reached his 13th goal at the qualifiers and he broke Hossam Hassan’s record of 12 goals.

Salah also reached his 38th International goal and he became Egypt’s third highest goal scorer alongside Mohamed Aboutrika and El-Sayed El-Dhizui.

Salah led the national team to defeat eSwatini 4-1 and he scored the fourth goal at the last minute of the first half from a direct corner kick.

The winger will not be available for the national team clash against eSwatini at 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The national team manager, Javier Aguiree, ruled the winger out of the team journey to eSwatini after he suffered a muscle injury during the first game against eSwatini in Cairo on Friday night and he left the pitch two minutes before the final whistle.

Egypt plays in Group J alongside Tunisia, Niger and eSwatini and they are at the second position at the group after two victories over Niger and eSwatini and a loss against Tunisia.
