CONAKRY - 12 September 2018: The Egyptian Embassy in Guinea provided special protection to Al Ahly football mission ahead of its match against Horoya Conakry in the CAF Champions League quarterfinal in Guinea on Friday.

Egyptian Consul to Guinea Mahmoud Reda said Al Ahly team requested special protection as long as they are in Guinea.

The Red Devils were drawn against Horoya AC in the draw that was held for the CAF Champions League quarterfinals after they ended their group stage campaign as Group A winners ahead of Esperance Sportive de Tunis, Kampala City and Township Rollers, while Horoya qualified as Group C runner ups behind title holders Wydad Casablanca with nine points.
