CAIRO – 9 September 2018: Egyptian Squash player Raneem el-Welily won the first place at the first tour of the season, the China Open 2018.

World Champion and 2015 winner Raneem defeated French player and World No.5 Camille Serme in China Open women’s final on Sunday. She won three games to one; 11-5, 8-11, 11-6, 11-5. This was the second time for Raneem to reach the China Open final and claim the title.

In the semi-finals Raneem faced Egyptian player and World No.3 Nour el-Tayeb and won three games to one; 11-4, 7-11, 11-8, 11-8.

While Camille knocked out World No.1 Nour el-Sherbini and ended the match with three games to two; 11-9, 11-8, 9-11, 8-11, 13-11.

Welily won a total of 18 titles including earlier this year’s tournament in El Gouna. Welily won El Gouna International Championship and defeated current No.1 Nour el-Sherbini. The two players also met in Manchester Open where Raneem claimed the title.
