CAIRO – 18 July 2018: French international, Hatm ben Arfa, believes that the national team manager, Didier Deschamps, should leave the national team despite achieving the 2018 World Cup title in Russia.

“It would be dangerous for France to hide behind this second World Cup win and make the team's style into a reference point,” ben Arfa said.

The French international, who represented France in 15 games, expressed dissatisfaction with the team's performance in the tournament describing it as Ugly football.

Ben Arfa added: “You can't hide the fact that the French team's ultra-cynical style is pretty ugly. I don't want it to become the norm at club academies, because people often try to copy the latest World Cup winners.”

France national team's manager, Didier Deschamps, led his team to achieve their second World Cup title on Sunday night.

Deschamps, who was the first French to lift the World Cup title as the captain of the 1998 team, wrote a new chapter in football history after this achievement.

Deschamps became the third footballer to achieve the World Cup as a player and a manager after Mario Zagallo and Franz Beckenbauer.
