CAIRO – 4 July 2018: Former Brazilian striker, Rivaldo Vítor, believes that his fellow, Neymar Jr, should join Real Madrid if he wants to be the best player in the World.

“Neymar switching to Real Madrid would be an 'important change'. He should play for one of the biggest clubs in the world," Rivaldo told press on Wednesday.

Rivaldo represented Barcelona between 1997 and 2002 and he is one of the most important and legendary strikers in the history of the club. However, he believes that Barcelona arch rivals, Real Madrid, would help Neymar to be the best.

“At Paris Saint-Germain, with new coach Thomas Tuchel in charge, he will never be declared the best player in the world," Rivaldo added.

Since his arrival in Paris from Barcelona in summer 2017, Neymar has been linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Neymar led Brazil to reach 2018 World Cup quarter finals scoring a goal, and providing an assist against Mexico at the round of 16 to lead his team to a 2-0 victory.

Brazil will face Belgium on Friday, June 6, at the quarter finals.
