CAIRO – 29 June 2018: Pyramids FC presented Al-Ahly an offer to sign the goalkeeper, Mohamed El-Shenawy, on a two-year loan deal for $4 million.

Pyramids FC stated, through its official account on Twitter,that it presented an offer for El-Shenawy that will guarantee $800k as an annual salary for the player.




Mohamed El-Shenawy shined with the Egyptian national team in the 2018 World Cup in Russia. He was Man of the Match in the 0-1 loss against Uruguay; El-Shenawy has really shone then and he's made a decisive three saves. Two saves from Suarez and a powerful volley from Cavani earned him Man of the Match award after the game.

Al-Assiouty Sport club was officially sold to a Saudi investor who changed its name to Pyramdis FC. Many reports claim that Turki Al al-Sheikh, head of Saudi Arabia's General Sports Authority, is the owner of Pyramids FC.

El-Shenawy featured in 31 games with Al-Ahly last season; he succeeded to get 16 clean sheets.
