Grozny’s hotel celebrates Mohamed Salah’s birthday

CAIRO – 16 June 2018: The hotel’s management, where the Egyptian national team resides in Grozny, surprised Egyptian star Mohamed Salah by celebrating his birthday.

The Egyptian delegation headed back to Grozny after being defeated against Uruguay 0-1 in Ekaterinburg city.




Immediately after returning to the hotel, the team was surprised to organize a small ceremony to celebrate the birthday of Mohamed Salah, which falls on June 15.

Egyptian players celebrated Mo Salah’s birthday after Eid el-Fitr prayer in the hotel where they settled in Ekaterinburg.

Egyptian fans at Ekaterinburg Arena decided to chant the "Happy Birthday" song at the 26th minute of the match.






Salah didn’t participate in Uruguay’s match as he is still recovering from his injury. Egypt’s Hector Cuper preferred to save Salah for the next two games.

The Pharaohs have to win in the next games, against Russia and Saudi Arabia, to secure a seat in the 16th round.




Egypt will play against Russia next Tuesday on June 19 while Uruguay will face Saudi Arabia.
