CAIRO – 16 June 2018: Former Zamalek’s coach and player, Ahmed Hossam ‘Mido’, believes that Shikabala can replace Salah in the next game against Russia since he is a decision maker.

Egypt’s amazing performance in the group stage’s second match wasn’t enough; the Pharaohs lost 0-1 against Uruguay through a late header from José Giménez.

“We have no confidence in our offense zone. In my opinion, Shikabala can be a good replacement for Salah if he doesn’t play. Shikabala is the only player who can make a decision inside the pitch,” Mido tweeted through his official Twitter account.

“The shift from defense to attack needs more speed, Amr Warda is a very good option for a match like Uruguay but against Russia we may need Shikabala with Abdullah and Trezeguet if Salah is not ready to start the game,” Mido added.

Egypt will play against Russia next Tuesday on June 19 while Uruguay will face Saudi Arabia.
